All moved in

Well we did it. And I say "we" cause I wouldn't have been able to move into my new apartment without Fawn and Greg — who graciously woke up at the butt crack of dawn Saturday to help move my furniture. I heart them dearly. The move went as easy as I HOPED it would. There was some concern that actually getting my furniture into my new apartment was going to be doozy. But surprisingly it was easier to get my stuff in than it was taking it out of my former home. Yay! All-in-all from picking up the U-Haul to taking it back it was about 3 hours. We did good.

Driving that U-Haul was fun too! Yes, I did it all by myself. It was only a 10-footer.

The rest of the day I unpacked stuff, took a 10-minute rest and then got ready to go out for a going-away shindig for Fawn and Greg at their friends house. I wanted to go furniture shopping on Sunday, but wasn't feel up to the task of choosing the right couch. So, I went to Target and the grocery....and Bed Bath & Beyond for the one thing I've been waiting to get for the longest time — a Keurig.

The Keurig is the coolest thing ever! I guess I didn't read the box so I didn't realize that a Variety Pack of coffees and teas were included. So it took me a good 5 minutes to decide which flavor I was going to try for my first cup out of my new machine. (I think I chose my least favorite so I'd have all the good ones for later.)

Fawn and Greg were my first house guests. I immediately served them tea from the Keurig. And then we sat on the floor (it's carpeted). Ha!

I woke up this morning well-rested and ready to tackle the work week. When I get home I'm going to take a walk around my new block. See what's new around Casa de Michelle.

P.S. - I know I've been slacking with the entries. The whole moving thing was becoming debilitating. Now, my mind is clear.
