What to do without cable...

So I'm not signing up for cable service just yet. Dad is sending one of those handy dandy government box thingy's, and I'm hoping it works to getting my basic stations. If not, well, I guess I'll have to get cable.

So for now, I'm thankful that I have Netflix. I recently put The American President DVD series on my list. It's a 10-hour PBS series on all 41 president's. It was released in 2001, so of course, it is missing a few of our latest Commander in Chiefs. I've gotten through two DVD's so far. It's a really good watch! I've been hooked on the history thing more and more, and also added myself to the Smithsonian magazine mailing list. Yay, I'm a nerd!

I am also getting back into reading. Sometimes I get in lulls and can't seem to continue reading a book from beginning to end. I have four books that need to be read before I even think about buying another...or now, rent from my local library. I am reading the book Dana got me for Christmas — "I See You Everywhere." It's about two sisters over a span of 25 years. I love it so far. It's written in first person by each sister, going back and forth.

That's what I've been doing without cable.
