Back from DC

Washington,DC, was a great trip. More time than just one day available for sightseeing is needed. But I did get to see my top sites up close - the White House, Lincoln Memorial and a tour of the American History Museum. I was able to see many of the other monuments and memorials, but not as much time to really read everything.
Right now I'm finishing up Twilight. I got a little crazed after seeing the movie and decided to see what all the hype was about with the books. Tween fiction. Yes, I can see how all the teens went crazy over Edward and Bella. I'm sure if this would have been one of the first books I read as a teen on my own free will, I would have fallen in love with reading. Instead, I found VC Andrews, much to the disbelief of one of the ladies at our church. She specifically told my mom that she couldn't believe she was letting me read those books. Hey, whatever gets a kid to read on their OWN free will, I say go for it! It only helped me appreciate reading more.
So I'm on the last couple chapters, and then I'm going to start the next book in the series. We'll see if - can read all four.

Glad you made it back safe & sound. Can't wait to go there with mom and you sometime. Keep exercising that freewill. Read RUSH' 1980 song lyrics for "FREEWILL" sometime, written by Neil Peart(drummer)
