Walking on water

Well dad turned 50 yesterday, and he said he didn't feel 50 ... so that's promising. I'll try not to dwell so much on "almost" turning 30. (Ugh I think I just had a heart murmur.)

Back in the grind on this fine Monday morning. I've got my list of To Do items and have switched to water. Cut back on my coffee intake by a half a cup. Gotta start somewhere. It's hotter than hot here in Southern California. I wish I could blame it on the Santa Ana winds, but the weatherman tells me that is not the cause. More than likely it's attributed to global warming. Who knows.

I started knitting some pot holders yesterday after finding some yarn in one of my drawers. It helped keep my mind off of thinking about my family all up in the Wisconsin woods, and the fact that I couldn't go this year. And, the good chunk of change I handed over to the Honda dealership after they doctored up my car. It helped, a little. I also jumped on the chance to go to a movie with friends. We saw the latest Harry Potter movie. I've never read the books, but have always enjoyed the movies!

I keep listening to this song by Lifehouse called "Storm." It's very calming...

My birthday was great until mom & I went to the A & W and the lady gave me the senior discount for my meal and I didn't even tell her it was my birthday or how old I was. She just thought I looked OLD enough I guess. We are having a good time up North. Pictures of today are priceless, we will send you a disc. Zach gives new meaning to Wild Hogs.
