My first airshow

I was the girl in the stands at the MiraMar Air Show screaming, "Oh my god! Are you kidding me! They are going to crash! How do they even practice this stuff without crashing! Holy crap!"

Quite simply, it was AMAZING!

I went to the air show on the military base with my co-worker Trish and her son Jake on Sunday. First time on a military base too.

As we were crossing the street and walking up to the grandstand area there was a HUGE explosion and a massive fireball. I did the whole stop in your tracks and clutch your body for dear life as you scream, "oh my god!" The marine said, "Ma'am it's ok. It's nothing." I think from the terrified look on my face he was thinking that I thought one of the planes crashed. I did.

But instead, the massive fire balls and booms continued. It was part of the show as they were showing the crowd all of the different planes and what they do.

It is REALLY cool seeing all of those planes up close. They even had them on the ground to go into.

AND... I had a hotdog, pretzel and a slushy lemonade. Mmmmmm...
