Random thoughts on a Tuesday

I'm in the mood for a good sappy romance novel, so I'm going to the library after work to pick up the Nicholas Sparks book, "Dear John." And.... putting aside Ted Kennedy for a bit. That's three books now that I'm in the middle of reading. When will it end? I fell off the wagon after reading all of the Twilight series.

Mom and dad will be here soon. Can't wait to have them here for Thanksgiving. I kind of just want to skip Halloween, but what fun would that be - missing out on the crazy festivities of dressing up and eating candy. I'm still going to be a vampire. Last year's month-long process of putting my Dorothy costume together took its toll on me. But it was really fun, especially since I had my tin man, scarecrow and lion.

I went for a walk after work yesterday and found myself trying to not look at the ground  ... to see how far I could go staring straight ahead and not trip. I know, random. But when you live by yourself, you find that you do and think very odd things with all the quiet space. I laugh a lot — at myself. Going from roommates to no roommates is still an adjustment... and it's been six months. I laughed after doing some pushups (20 to be exact) because I remembered how Angie and I did pushups before putting on our dresses for the wedding. I told her it would make our arms look tone...

On a final note of randomness, I framed my college diploma thanks to an impulse buy from Target. I'm craving sushi, and my local Starbucks drive-thru people are obnoxious for it being so early in the morning.

We had sushi at Uncle Andy's Bday party at Rice's Restaurant. Don't worry, I always look at the ground or I will trip.
