I had to Google "wild arizona pig" to remember the name of the crazy animal I heard about this past weekend while in Tucsan, Arizona visiting my grandparents. Javelina: a pig-like desert dweller of Arizona. The subject of this "crazy" animal came up when I asked grandma why the garbage was this tank thing in the ground. She said "because of the Javelina's." I said, "What the heck is that!" I imagine it looks much like Pumbaa from The Lion King, but not as .... cute and funny.
It was a quick trip to Arizona, but very relaxing. I told grandma and grandpa that they were my Buddhas. On Saturday morning I was up before grandpa — like almost a whole two hours! Grandma was up though, and we had cereal and peanut butter toast with coffee. The rest of the day was filled with a little sunshine and a cookout with Jerry and Kay, grandpa's brother and sister-in-law who have a place just two doors down.

On Sunday, before I had to fly home, we stopped by the Old Tucsan Studios. This is where they filmed a lot of the old western movies with John Wayne. It's Arizona's "Hollywood." They had some fun shows, and some neat buildings to tour. From what I know, they were the actual buildings used for filming. We took a wagon ride, which was VERY bumpy, around some of the lot, even passing where they filmed some episodes of Little House on the Prairie. I was sure to get some pictures of that with grandma's camera
because Aunt Wendy loves that show. She is probably jealous of us right now. Hahaha!
One last funny story from the trip, because I did laugh a lot (whether it was Jerry, Kay and grandma and grandpa trying to figure out who Bill so-and-so was married to back in the day,
or us trying to figure out where to eat lunch)...
The bathroom at the studio was labeled as a Bathhouse, with signs saying 25 cents. I told grandma she needed 25 cents to use the restroom, so she asked grandpa for a quarter. Hahaha! I was kidding of course a got a good laugh from that.
There are more pictures of us from grandma's camera because my battery was dead when I arrived in Tucsan. Darnit!
