I don't know why I didn't cry. Grandma has always talked about dying. She told me before I left that when she dies, and if I need someone to talk to, to go outside at night and she'll be sitting on a cloud. I told her that San Diego doesn't have any clouds. So she said she'll be the brightest star in the sky.
The weather was gloomy, but it was a nice break from the heat and humidity.
Fawn and Greg stopped by to visit on their way back to Sheboygan. It was nice visiting with them, even though it was a short amount of time. I miss them.
On Tuesday, we drove up to Lac du Flambeau to stay at the cabin with the Weyenbergs. On the way, mom and I stopped to visit Angie and her new baby Joey. The weather was perfect - sunshine and about 73ish degrees. It was also a quick visit, but I'm happy we were able to make it up there. We had pizza in Minocqua and watched the Minocqua ski show. Then mom and I were up and on the road at 5 a.m. the next morning. Dad surprised us with a visit. He was able to take Thursday and Friday off of work, so he and Lola drove up.
Dana's baby shower at Pam and Lynn's house was nice. Grandma was able to make it. We also got to visit for a long time with Shari and Kristy, which was nice. I ended the night with one more snuggle time with grandma, watching Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and a bowl of ice cream.
Looking back, I pretty much ended every night with a bowl of ice cream. :)
