I braved the shark infested waters on Saturday to go kayaking with Shawn, Tracy and her friend visiting from Wisconsin. I always love a good couple hours out on the open seas. It doesn't happen very often though...
It's hotter than hot this week, especially inland by work. We've finally reached our high head of 90+ inland and close to that on the coast. It's expected to cool down to the 70s this weekend. (Thank goodness!)
I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only one already thinking about the holiday season. Mom started Christmas shopping and another friend on Facebook was talking about getting those tin popcorn cans with the three different popcorns — what you usually get during the holidays. It's such a joyous time. And this year we'll have a real baby in the manger. Hahaha!
For the first time in a while, I'm first excited for Thanksgiving. That's probably because I'm going home, and it will be the first family Thanksgiving in three years. Sweet baby Jesus!
Enough about the holidays for a while now. It is not even September yet. I can't help myself.
I've got one week and three days to finish my book for this month. Then it's on to either "Eat, Pray, Love," "The Stoning of Soyra M," "If I Stay," or whatever else I may come across in the next week.
