This morning, when Dana dropped me and Cody off at home while on her way to work, I told Cody: "Come on, this is our other house."
My poor dog probably doesn't know where "home" is. We spent the entire weekend at Dana and Erik's house laying around reading, going shopping, going to the pool and even lounging for a while in the backyard. But that was short-lived since Cody doesn't know how to stay in his own yard. While Cody was inspecting the neighbors back yard, a kid came out — probably suspecting the dog was a runaway. When he saw Dana and I and when I tried calling Cody back over, the kid went back inside. Then the other neighbor came out as I scooted Cody and Lola back in the house — wet from the kiddie pool. Neighbor said he picked up the "stray dogs" poop. Ooops. Thought I picked all of Cody's droppings, but I guess I missed one or two. So no more just letting Cody go outside without a leash. He just doesn't understand the meaning of boundaries. And, I don't want to piss off Dana's neighbors.
I didn't finish my book. I'm 400 pages into the 800 page book.
Today is my first day of grad school! The first lecture and readings are posted, along with two assignments. Cheers to the start and completion of Academic Publishing!
