Have a holly jolly Christmas. Holly Jolly. Holly Jolly Christmas!
Southern California is overcast and rainy. Quite a difference from our regular sunny days. I'm enjoying hearing the rain fall as I sit here working. It's peaceful. I guess we're supposed to have this weather through Wednesday. I don't mind it, but for others it makes them moody. Some even debate going to get lunch. Are you crazy? (I brought my lunch. Yeah for me!) A rainy day here, is like a snow day in Wisconsin. People freak out, drive 40 miles an hour on the highway, breaking constantly. There is even news in the newspaper warning people about the rain. I find it very amusing.
My secret santa gift is on its way to "secret person" on the east coast. I wonder who has me....
I'm on my third cup of coffee. I should stop, but I can't. This is my last cup. I promise. Ahhh.
So as to a recap of my weekend:
Friday: I went to see "The Day the Earth Stood Still" in the IMAX. It was really good! Definitely movie theater worthy.
Saturday: I watched three Christmas movies on either Lifetime or Fox Family, then went to three Christmas parties. The second party was amidst (my new favorite word) a winter wonderland of Christmas lights. Think Christmas with the Kranks where every house is decorated. And you can tell that the few houses (maybe 1 or 2) got some grief from their neighbors. So with my cocktail in hand, a few of us walked around the block to see the houses.
Sunday: I got my hair did and watched more Christmas movies.
What I did not do is mail my Christmas cards. But I did go to Barnes and Noble and leave without purchasing anything. It was really hard. I was on my way to the register with a new book, stopped just short of the line, read a couple pages, put the book down and walked out.
In today's news, I got an email from Dana this morning. It reads:
"Michelle, Just so you know we have sooo much candy (frosted sugar cookies, peanut butter balls, peanut clusters, oreo balls, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered bugles, chocolate covered oreos, etc.) for Christmas!!!! I have two tubs full of peanut butter balls just for you!! Wish you were there this weekend to help make the candy...we missed you!!!
Yummy in my tummy! I expect to leave Georgia 10 pounds heavier. :-)
10 more days!!
