The 25 Days of Christmas: Day 1

(P.S. - this isn't MY tree. And yes, I'm wearing my new Celine Dion shirt. What!?!)

Welcome to Michelle's 25 Days of Christmas Joy!!
The most wonderful time of the year deserves a blog posting every day, for 25 days. That's right.

First, we're going to pretend that I bought my Christmas tree on Day One. And Day One includes Nov. 30. :-)

So in pretend world where Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 are the same day... (fade in to a sunny California day)

The roomies and I stopped at our local Christmas tree farm (a parking lot in Pacific Beach) on the way home from Anaheim. Doug and Bruce, the tree owners, welcomed us with a varied selection of trees — short, tall, skinny, fat, overpriced and just right. In the shade it felt like winter, so I grabbed a cup of hot apple cider. After getting lost in the maze of Christmas trees, we all gathered in front of our just right, fat tree of medium height. One hour later, the tree was delivered to our house and is propped up on a state-of-the-art wood stand with a bucket. Just put that tree skirt right over it and no one will ever know...

Fawn pulled out the Christmas wreath and other festive items from her bucket. The scent of pine is everywhere. I found a Pine scented candle that I had bought last year and lit that in my room. You can never get enough Christmas tree pine scent! We didn't decorate the tree right away, as we did last year. Instead we are letting some of the tree branches fall.

I would say we are decorating the tree tonight, but Shawn got us all tickets to see Celtic Thunder at the San Diego Sports Arena. Not Celtic WOMEN, Celtic Thunder. That means it's the male version of the women version.

See this video for insight.

So that's how I spent and will be spending my Day One of the 25 Days of Christmas. Stay tuned. Much, much more to come!

Ok I never heard of Celtic Thunder but I want tickets to go someday somewhere conveniently close to my residence so the cost isn't so outrageous to go see them. I am jealous Chelle. Hope you had a great time! Love you
