The 25 Days of Christmas: Day 2

Well what can I say, it's only Day Two and though it's beginning to look A LOT more like Christmas, I forsee myself running around like a turkey with it's head cut off.

Today was crazy busy at work. New tasks, new ideas, meetings, phone calls — I'm constantly reverting to my notebook filled with notes and To Do items. But then I tell myself it's all worth it.

Count to 10 and begin again.

I ate my lunch way too early, but I was hungry. Can't go wrong with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Now I'm starving for dinner.

Surprisingly we haven't decorated our tree yet. We got home last night at 10:45 p.m. after seeing Celtic Thunder in concert. Ummm...they were really good! And they had such a fan base I never knew about. It was kind of like going to an NSYNC concert. Women of ALL ages were screaming when they would each come out to sing. It was hard not to chuckle, only because I so out of the loop with this group. I mean, how did I not know about Celtic Thunder??!?!

I love free stuff. Free shows especially. Shawn gets free tickets sometimes through work. I'm hoping that he got tickets to The Color Purple which starts this Thursday, through the weekend. I really want to see it. I've put in a word or two, but he kind of blows it off. Which has me thinking that it's my Christmas present (we roomies exchange names.) That would be splendid fun! If not, oh well.

So I'm about to pack it up here at work. I don't want to take my computer home. Who knows if we'll get the tree decorated tonight. It seems we're all a bit tired and unambitious to do so. I just want someone to put the lights on the tree (mom always did that), and I can work with the ornaments. I'm hoping for no tinsel this year. It's not my thing. But one against three, well, we all know I'll lose.

I was supposed to leave at 4:30 p.m. to go to KettleBell class at the gym. No such luck when boss man leaves early, and I have to stay to supervise the intern. Guess I'll try for Thursday's class. I shouldn't say "try," I should say, "Guess I'll just GO to Thursday's class." Now I'll just go home and relax on the couch, watch General Hospital (which is getting really intense people!) and maybe do a couple squats.

Oh yeah...Ugly Christmas Sweater Party is this Saturday. I have to remember to check if I kept the one I put together last year. If so, I'll just bedazzle it a bit more. Nobody will even know...
