National Day of Community Service

I was one of many that had to work today — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. And I don't know if it was the margarita's, the workload or because it was a little warm that I didn't sleep well last night. At 2 a.m., I started to feel sick. Maybe it was the mexican food, but I'm thinking all the sugar from the drinks was coursing through my veins. So I ended up getting a mere 4 hours of sleep. Needless to say I'm a little exhausted today.

I had to be to work by 7:30 a.m. to catch the party van down to Imperial Beach for a commitment to signing up for a National Day of Community Service in commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. My fellow comrades and I spent almost 2 hours walking up and down the beach picking up garbage. It turned out to be a really beautiful morning. Sadly the boss man took the camera with him so I couldn't get a photo of us up with this blog entry. Hopefully tomorrow. Instead I'll provide you with a picture of Imperial Beach on a sunny day like today...and the past couple days. :-)
