Be as it may

Ok so ... I had thought it best to make my blog only available to those I choose, but then I had trouble logging on after making the settings changes ... SO it's back to whoever wants to read or whoever stumbles upon Java Junkie. W.H.A.T.E.V.E.R.

Where have I been this past week? For the most part at my desk working. A good chuck of time has also been spent finalizing my credentials on being a Scripps volunteer. I'm official - got my badge and smock last Friday. I'll be volunteering in the cancer center every Wednesday. It should be very humbling, and I hope not too sad. 

And as much as I hate to admit it, I'm also still obsessing over this Twilight stuff — the books, the movie, all of it. Thankfully I've found a partner in crime — DeDe. She too has drifted to the dark side. We think there should be a support group. 

My ticket is booked for my much-anticipated Georgia visit. Haven't seen the family since Christmas! Can't wait for all the hugs. I miss the hugs. 

Also, I think I found another budding journalist in our family. And, I think it's about time! Miss Katelyn, my sweet little cousin, sent me the cutest write-up that she wrote about me. I loved it so much. Miss Madison also sent me some colorful drawings a while back. My girls are very creative!  

On a final note this fine Tuesday ... I bought a blender. Smoothies are now my specialty. My favorite so far is banana/pineapple. 

P.S. - Cousin Michael just told me, via the wonders of technology, that I better consider myself lucky that he's missing out on a friends party to come see me July 4. hahahahahaha! love him!
