Boots, rain jackets and umbrellas

It's been raining kittens and poodles all week. At Target last night a customer was harassing the jewelry lady about boots, rain jackets and umbrellas. She said another lady told her to come to the jewelry area to ask where she could find them. The jewelry lady said she didn't understand why they would tell her that because she didn't do anything with boots, rain jackets and umbrellas. They bickered some more and I walked away.

It looks to me like people ransacked the Target for boots, rain jackets and umbrellas like it was the end of the world. I still don't own an umbrella, but I've taken out the insole of my winter jacket and have made it my rain jacket. It's working just fine.

By my house, I'm not seeing as much damage like flooding and mudslides. The mudslides are mostly near the LA area. But I'm seeing there has been flooding in more inland areas, like more near my work. Actually I take that back, we've had some flooding in our office! The water started coming in underneath our back door. We have sandbags now. In Ocean Beach they built the dunes up higher and have also put in sandbags. I guess there were 15 foot waves the other day. It's very windy. I'd compare it to hurricane winds, but it's probably not as bad.

I like the rain. Others, most others here, do not. It's like a mass wave of depression sits in. Cheer up guys, the sun shall shine again soon!
