New Orleans Day 1

My feet fell off somewhere off of Canal Street walking back to my hotel. I shouldn't have worn my new black boots, but I was trying to keep up with my New Years resolution - dressing up more. Yeah well an exception will be made from here on out in the foot/shoe department.
I hate to admit this, but I had Arbys for lunch. I was indecisive about where to eat for lunch today and really just wanted coffee from Starbucks. The nearest one was in the Marriott New Orleans where they were hosting people for some cotton conference. Our law school conference is at the Hilton...no Starbucks. Boo!
I have to head over there for a couple hours soon for the grand opening of the exhibit hall where we have a booth for the magazines.
The W New Orleans has been very accommodating. The pillows are soft, a plus. :)
Honestly, I am ready to get home. Home is nice, but I am eager to attend some sessions, eat some authentic food and see some sights if possible. At Arbys I heard a guy talking about eating turtle soup and alligator. Gross. Maybe I'll be that brave.
