Tis the season to be jolly. October 1 is my official date to start celebrating the holiday season.
I recently bought Faith Hill's much anticipated Christmas CD. Needless to say I'm a little disappointed in her approach, but whatever. I still got Mariah, Celine and Martina to jam out to. When is Whitney going to come out with a Christmas CD?
Anyways, once or twice in the past couple weeks it started to feel like the holiday season. I came home to one of our seasonal candles burning. It smelled so good! The other time was when cooler weather blew through San Diego. And last night Shawn made Ginger Snaps. I didn't eat one though. (I'm trying to be good.)
But now the dreadful Santa Ana winds are blowing through, the sun is shining and work is stressing me out. (Boo hoo Michelle.) Yeah I know. So I'm trying to get over it and focus on my next task — completing the look of my Halloween costume. I am going to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz! I already bought the main dress part. Now I need to make the shoes, buy the basket and stuff dog....oh and get the wig. That's what's on my agenda this weekend.

The best part of it all is that to complete the costume, I'll have my other characters with me. Shawn is going as the Lion. Fawn as the Tin Man. And Greg as the Scarecrow. We are going to look amazing! I can't wait to see all of us in our costumes, mimicking the Follow the Yellow Brick Road scene.
I already decided to take the day after Thanksgiving off in preparation for the much anticipated Celine Dion concert in Anaheim. Oh. My. Gawd.
AND, I'm thinking of taking off Nov. 4. (Election Day, duh!) We'll see.
I hear there is a joint birthday party this weekend, so it will be nice to hang out with friends. I haven't hung out with the entire gang since the 80s party I think...so sad.
We just got out of our All Staff meeting. Snacks were provided. And now I'm sipping on 6-hour old coffee. It's time to re-FOCUS.
Talk to you soon.
