It's about that time of year. Fire season has begun in California. After a couple of cool days that really felt like Fall, word is that the Santa Ana winds are making their way to us. They've already reached the LA area and, well, you can see from this picture today in the Los Angeles Times, it doesn't look good.

(Dan Steinberg of the Associate Press took this photo today of the moving brush fire in Los Angeles)
I'm hoping the fires steer clear of San Diego, but it's inevitable that they make there way here. The ash is what we saw and smelt the most by our house since we are right on the tip of Point Loma by the water. But this photo was taken last year from our balcony. And we got all the ash in our house. We eventually had to close our doors and windows and turn on the air.

(This is a view from our balcony. You're looking at the San Diego Bay with the fire coming over a mountain near downtown San Diego)
