The 25 Days of Christmas: Day 19

Let me take a brief moment to explain the time change. I am 2 hours behind for those in Wisconsin and 3 hours behind for those in Georgia. When my phone rings at 4:45 a.m., I immediately think something bad has happened.

Yes, this happened this morning. I woke up to my phone buzzing and flashing "Aunt Stacey." What could this be about? I answered after a brief moment of mentally preparing myself for some tragic news. But then my phone cut out because you have to place the phone in an exact spot to get reception in my room. I figured if it was important enough, she would call back. Five minutes later, she did. But I didn't answer.

The message was: "I just tried calling your mother and her phone is disconnected. I wanted to talk to her and give her words of
encouragement before they leave this morning. Can you please call me back with their new number."

Come on! I immediately called Dad first (cause he always answers the phone) and there was no answer. Mom's went straight to voicemail and disgruntled I said, "Mother, you need to call Aunt Stacy and give her your new number. She wants to give you words of encouragement." Click. Not 2 minutes later, Dad called. He was probably thinking, why is Michelle calling us at 4:45 a.m. her time?

Long story short, after I relayed my message to dad, he said mom was talking to Aunt Stacey. Geez! So that's how my morning started off. Very EVENTFUL.

Any WHO, preparations are being finalized for our office Christmas party as I write. Should be a doozy! I'm just ready to break out the food and eat. Again, the theme is Casino Night, with the winnings accumulated going to charity.

I hope to breathe a sigh of relief at around 2:30 p.m. There is still a lot to do work-wise, but I think we're almost there. Mom and dad leave tomorrow for Georgia. The Christmas celebration has officially begun.

Holly Jolly. Holly Jolly Christmas!
